Fans of the long-running cop drama “NYPD Blue” can start spreading the news: the show is going to be back in prime-time on ABC in 2019. The show ran for 12 years and with 20 Emmy wins, only 14 TV shows have captured more.
The reboot will take place in the same “universe” as the original show, with a plot that centers around Detective Andy Sipowicz, the character made famous by Dennis Franz. There’s no word yet on whether any of the original actors will be part of the reboot.
Wait, what? You read that right. So how are they connecting the new version to the original? Doc from Frank 106.3 has the answer in the latest “TV Trending”.
