Welcome back once again to Nick’s Mix!
My goal with this series is to teach you how to make a variety of mixed drinks in your own home using simple recipes. The next six drinks are all Holiday recipes that’ll thrill your party guests, so be on the lookout from now through the end of the year for more in this series!
This week’s drink is “Uncommonly Clyde”. This one you can build right in a pint rocks glass (in the video I did it in a cocktail shaker so I could strain out any chunks of Cranberry sauce).
1/2 cup Ice
1 tbs. Cranberry Sauce (see below)
2 oz. Bourbon Whiskey
1/2 tsp. Orange Brandy Based Liqueur (Grand Marnier)
2 dashes Aromatic Bitters
1 oz. Cold Water
In a glass half filled with ice, muddle the Cranberry sauce in the ice until it’s tinged red. Once it’s all good and muddled, add your whiskey, orange brandy liqueur, aromatic bitters, and finally the water. Stir well. When you’re ready, garnish with your favorite fruit and enjoy (responsibly)!
If you want to go back and check out any of the previous recipes, they are all archived and searchable here! Feel free to explore because variety is the spice of life!
