In today’s World there seems to be an app for just about everything. Now there’s an app being used in the classroom but it’s not so much for learning as much as it is for relaxing.
That’s right, teachers all around the country are turning to these apps to help introduce mindfulness in the classroom.
Brooke Waterman, a teacher at Springbrook Elementary School in Westerly Rhode Island is using the app with her students according to CNBC.
“It’s amazing to see these kids really tune into themselves and ignore the outside world for a minute,” said Waterman.
Headspace works directly with 35 districts and around 300 schools in 15 states. One Headspace plan includes college students for $9.99 per year.
