There’s just something about mom and pop, independently owned general stores that have infinite charm and always keep you coming back for more.
North Conway is home to one of them in Zeb’s General Store and it was just voted New Hampshire’s ‘Most Beautiful Independent Store’ by Architectural Digest.
With it’s familiar sign and yellow building, Zeb’s is a place all travelers through the North Country must visit when driving in downtown North Conway.
According to Architectural Digest,
The whimsical world of Zeb’s General Store, named for a local folk hero, evokes a walk back in time to the general stores of the past. The warm yellow exterior is iconic among the small North Conway Village shops, delivering local goods as well as some unexpected items visitors are delighted to happen upon.
Amen to that.
