Summer is approaching and we’re looking in the mirror and thinking, “man, I’ve gotta get in shape”. Perhaps that New year’s resolution lasted only a couple of weeks. So we go on a crash diet, or we hit the gym real hard.
You know the routine.
Well, there is a 17-year-old kid in Canton, Ohio named Michael Watson who’s graduating from high school this month. And he’s been overweight most of his life. At one point, he was 325 pounds.
He LOVED food . . pizza was his guilty pleasure.
So, about a year ago, Michael overhauled his diet . . stopped eating pizza every day . . and walked several miles to school every morning. Even if it was snowing, he still walked. That’s how determined he was.
As of today, he’s lost a total of 115 POUNDS.
I saw some before-and-after shots, and he looks like a different person.
What’s the secret to his success? You have to really WANT it for yourself, and each day is a new day.
Michael also says taking a real look at his relationship with food was hard, but worth it.
