Data was pulled from the most recent STD report from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention to determine the rankings for each U.S. state according to Alarms.org. Overall the most commonly diagnosed diseases are on the rise, and were included in this report.
The four most common are gonorrhea, chlamydia, primary and secondary syphilis, and congenital syphilis.
States with the highest rate of infection:

- New Mexico
States with the lowest rate of infection:
- West Virginia
- New Hampshire
