Our dispatchers never know what the next call might be.They train for many emergency situations, homework help is not one they plan for. We don't recommend 911 for homework help but this dispatcher helped a young boy out and brightened his day.@PoliceOne @apbweb @wlfi @WTHRcom pic.twitter.com/w3qCYfJP7O

I have to say, I am impressed with how patient this 911 operator was when a boy called to just get help with his math homework. Not just because of her calm voice on the clearly non-emergency call, but how great her math skills are!
As I was listening to the boy explain one of the difficult fractions related math problems, I was trying to figure it out on a scrap piece of paper. Needless to say, my answer didn’t match the one they both figured out at the end of the conversation.
But, thanks to her help, I did figure out what I did wrong…wish I had a teacher as calm as her while in school. Bravo!
