A Litchfield, NH dog owner witnessed his 55-pound pit bull go nose-to-nose with a pair of coyotes in his backyard. The encounter was captured on his backyard security camera.

Doug Anderson, the dog owner, says he let his two dogs out about 8 a.m. Monday before he heard his pit bull Harlee come running and yelping as the dog made its way to the backdoor.
The video shows one of the coyotes running at Harlee. Thankfully, Harlee made it safely inside without a scratch.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!! Please Do not leave your pets outside unattended. This was caught on Home Security Camera this morning in Litchfield NH. This is a 55 pound pit bull being attacked by coyotes in its own backyard while the dog went out to do his business! (video credit goes to Doug Anderson) The dog In this video is ok!!

Eastern Coyote breeding season is from January to March, so they can be more vocal and more territorial during this time.
