Woah woah woah. Lets back up here…
I just have to say this: What the hell is wrong with people? I mean seriously.
Apparently some girl in California baked her grandfather’s ashes into some cookies, brought them to school, and kids were STILL eating them knowing there were human remains in there.
Honestly, I really think this is a cultural/parenting issue. I really do. Yeah back in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s (okay, and even today) there were always stuff like LSD, cocaine, marijuana. Stuff that our parents did. Big deal. Now today kids are eating Tide Pods, snorting condoms, doing a sh**load of heroin, and now baking their grandfather’s ashes into cookies and eating them. What else can we possibly think of? I just don’t know.
This girl goes to show that she’s not the only issue. OTHER KIDS WERE EATING THE COOKIES FULL-WELL KNOWING THEY WERE EATING HUMAN REMAINS. They knew too. This is a parenting issue. This isn’t like “ohhh she must just be a troubled teen”. No. This is a cultural issue and it starts with parenting. The sooner we all realize that, the better off we’ll all be.
If my parents ever found out that I was baptizing my esophagus with my friend’s grandfather’s ashes, I don’t know if I would ever see daylight again. And that’s the God’s honest truth.
It just seems like the advancement of technology and social media has really propelled this type of stuff over the past couple of years. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t remember this stuff happening as often in the early 2000’s. It’s just crazy.
Kids at this school were describing they could taste the “sand-like” grit in their teeth. Imagine that? Tasting the remains of someone who has walked this earth for a long time and now you’re eating his body. Kind of weird when you put it in that perspective.
Maybe it’s just because social media and technology gives people new ideas and validation. Think about it. If there’s some sort of content (videos, photos, notes, etc etc) that has the potential to go viral, our cultural norm is to spread it and share it as fast as possible. Well, in this case, this girl’s agenda was to take those cookies and pass them out like the plague. Good luck. I don’t have a lot of faith in humanity.
