Vinepair did the math, and it doesn’t look good for the Granite State. Or does it?
After studying the annual survey by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, Vinepair ranked and mapped all 50 states and how they measure up against each other when it comes to consumption.
The infographic lists the 5 states with the highest consumption based on gallons per year and our very own New Hampshire tops the list followed by D.C. (not a state?), Delaware, Nevada, and North Dakota.
Is this something we should be proud of, or embarrassed about? On one hand we know how to throw a party: likely in the backyard with tons of grilled meats, maybe some “steamahs,” and 4.76 gallons of alcohol per year.
Though on the other hand, alcohol can be dangerous, let’s be serious.
Either way, we’re at the top of a list.
