Some people love candy corn and eat it year round (Yes, they do have holiday flavors). Others only enjoy them around Halloween. And some, well they stay as far away as possible from these bright, tri-colored, cone-shaped candies.
Most would agree the candy is most popular during Halloween, so it’s no surprise that October 30th is National Candy Corn Day. And no, the urban legend is not true…they’re not made of bee’s wax and sugar! That is a lie and spread by the candy corn haters.
The candy corn was actually created by a guy named George Renninger of the Wunderlee Candy Company some time in the mid 1880’s.
