Zika virus also tied to eye problems in babies
A hearing was held on Capitol Hill today addressed the Zika virus. It comes as researchers in Brazil say the mosquito-borne virus may also be linked to eye abnormalities in babies.
Some babies born with very small heads and underdeveloped brains also have serious eye problems, as a result of their mother contracting the Zika virus during pregnancy.
Here in the U.S. the virus has been detected in 12 states and the District of Columbia.
