White Supremacist gang member sentenced in 2010 NH State Prison beating death
CONCORD - A man convicted of second-degree murder in the 2010 prison beating of a fellow State Prison inmate has been sentenced to 35 1/2 years behind bars.
Thomas Milton, 31, was convicted by a jury in December of 2014. Prosecutors said Milton carried out the attack with fellow inmate William Edic as a retaliation for leaking information on two members of the Brotherhood of White Warrior gang.
Prosecutors said Milton and Edic lured 41-year-old Anthony Renzulla and then took turns beating and stomping on him. Renzulla was found unconscious and remained in a coma until his death in November of 2011.
During the sentencing hearing Thursday, Renzulla's mother spoke directly to Milton and showed him a photo of her son's gravestone, saying she visits him regularly.
Milton told Renzulla's mother he was sorry. "It wasn't meant to happen this way," he said.
