Pretty in Pink? This Vibrant Vegetable Is Filling Social Media Feeds

Radicchio del Venuto, mostly grown in Italy but now grown in California, Pennsylvania and other places, is popping up all over social media and creating a very colorful buzz.
It is grown and harvested in the fall, then replanted and then grown in the dark making sure sunlight does not reach the stem, Eater New York reports. Having a taste described as slightly bitter and slightly sweet, the online pics being shared over social media are, well, slightly beautiful!
PINK FRIDAY 💋💗 Delicious, boosting salad with pink radicchio, watermelon radish, beetroot, pink grapefruit, warm green beans, burrata and grilled Italian bread. Tossed in a garlic, basil, extra virgin olive oil and honey vinegrette. So yummy. 🙏🏻 #vegetarian #vegetariskt #vegetarisktförlivsnjutare #pinkraddichio #watermelonradish #raddichio #rosadiverona #burrata #salad #middag #sallad #vego #foodstyling

It's not new, but thanks to social media it may end up on a few new dinner tables, and may inspire an online pic of your own culinary creation!
