Poop? There it is: Amazon Contract Driver Accused of Leaving Special Delivery in Front of Home
SACRAMENTO — A California homeowner's surveillance video of an Amazon.com contract delivery driver relieving herself on a suburban sidewalk has caused a stir and led to the driver's firing.
The video circulating on social media shows a woman crouching behind an open door of a U-Haul van parked outside of a Sacramento, California, home. She is then seen standing up, adjusting her clothing and scampering around the front of the van to the driver's seat and eventually pulling away, leaving a mess behind.
The homeowner was identified as Nemy Bautista, who found the special delivery when he returned from being away from home. He checked his surveillance video system and found the source of the mess.
Bautista posted a comment on Facebook calling out the delivery giant for the act, saying she had defacated. Subsequent comments on his post tackle whether it was No. 1 or No. 2.
The independent contractor was fired by Amazon, Bautista received a gift card and Amazon made a statement condemning the act.
"This does not reflect the high standards we have for delivery service providers," the company said in a statement. "This individual is no longer delivering Amazon packages and we’re in direct communication with the customer."
