MANCHESTER — Waste Management donated a large check to the Manchester Police Athletic League Wednesday morning.
Public Sector Service Manager Jim Nocella delivered a $25,000 giant check on behalf Waste Management to Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas, Chief of Police Nick Willard, and many MPAL board members.
Nocella said police playing and working with kids is vital for the community, and he also was pleased with the new facility that was renovated in 2016.
The donation will help some of the 8,500 children who live within a one mile radius of the MPAL community center.
If anyone wants information about the MPAL and its current programs, one can contact Officer John Levasseur at (603) 626-0211.
