Get High with a Sky Ride at the Quechee Hot Air Balloon Festival
For the 38th year, the skies over The Quechee Village Green in Vermont will fill with hot air balloons of all colors for the Quechee Hot Air Balloon, Craft and Music Festival on Father's Day weekend.
The festival is one of the longest continuous hot air balloon festivals in New England.
There are so many things to do during this three-day event staring Friday with over 20 balloons to watch fly, or if you're the adventurous type, to take a ride in! Music and entertainment will be available for those of all ages. Whether you like jazz, Motown, alt-rock, oldies, Top 40 or the '80s, you'll be able to hear it!
Stroll the grounds where they'll be more than 60 artisans offering from clothing to glass works to jewelry and more. If you get hungry, you can choose from traditional hot dogs and hamburgers to chicken or fish and chips, and of course, there will be ice cream! Take the kids on a train ride, go bungee jumping, try your skill on the inflatable climbing wall, or keep it simple and get your face painted. Don't miss juggling, animal presentations, dancers and even a parachute demonstration.
The gates open at 3 p.m. Friday.
