Vermont man faces theft, drug charges in Lebanon
LEBANON – A Vermont man is facing a number of charges after being arrested by police near the South Main Street Hannaford in Lebanon Wednesday.
According to authorities, police responded to a report of shoplifting and arrested 41-year-old Norman Bevins whom police report was attempting to flee the store.
Police say they apprehended Bevins after a foot pursuit and brief struggle. He has been charged with theft, resisting arrest and two felony drug charges for pills found on his person.
He is expected to appear in court in February.
