UPDATE: Woman involved in serious boating accident on NH lake identified
RINDGE — A Massachusetts woman remains in critical condition after being involved in a serious boating accident on Lake Monomonac.
On Sunday at approximately 5:30 p.m., Marine Patrol was notified of a serious boating accident on Lake Monomonac in Rindge.
Investigators learned that Meghan Rodriguez, 29, of Fitchburg, Mass., was a passenger on a 2016 Kawasaki personal watercraft operated by Joseph Ocasio, of Winchendon Mass. While returning to shore after tubing, Rodriguez fell from the back of the machine and became tangled in the line used to tow the tube.
Ocasio and another passenger aboard the craft helped Rodriguez and took her to shore where they were met by members of the Rindge Fire/Rescue. Rodriguez was transported to Peterborough Hospital and later flown to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where she remains in critical condition.
