UNH Law hosts conference on investigating sex assaults
CONCORD (AP) - The University of New Hampshire School of Law is hosting a conference on improving the criminal justice system's response to campus sexual assault.
Tuesday's meeting in Concord is being led by the law school and UNH Prevention Innovations, a collaboration between researchers and practitioners that develops and evaluates programs aimed at ending violence against women.
While colleges and universities across the country have been changing how they adjudicate assault allegations, the conference looks beyond those efforts at the role of outside investigations and prosecutions. Speakers include the Grafton County attorney and national experts on the investigation of sexual assault cases.
