Tuscan Kitchen Portsmouth to open doors to the public
PORTSMOUTH — A new Italian restaurant featuring an acclaimed chef will open its doors to the public this week.
Tuscan Kitchen Portsmouth, the third location from Tuscan Brands' founder Joe Faro, will be open for business Wednesday at 3 p.m., and the 294-seat restaurant will open for lunch and dinner next week.
“We are so excited about our new location,” Faro said. “Portsmouth is a fantastic culinary destination and is the perfect place for us to introduce our unique style of authentic, artisan Italian cuisine. We are very proud to be joining this community and are looking forward to sharing our newest endeavor in such a vibrant and thriving area.”
The restaurant's menu will be the same as Tuscan Kitchen locations in Salem, New Hampshire and Burlington, Massachusetts.
Chef Nimesh Maharjan, a protege of Boston-based celebrity Chef Todd English, will use locally sourced meats, seafood and produce to craft dishes with his own creative touch.
An adjacent Tuscan Market will open in June, where customers can purchase meats, cheese, pasta, freshly baked breads, prepared meals, coffee, handmade desserts and more. The restaurant also features a 75-seat patio that will be open when weather permits.
