Tips from public lead to arrest of NH man accused of trying to elude police
HOOKSETT — A Manchester man was arrested after police said he attempted to elude officers on his motorcycle Wednesday.
Hooksett police said around 6:41 p.m. an officer was speaking with a resident on Hackett Hill Road about motorcycles speeding down the road when a motorcycle passed them going about 60 mph in a 30 mph zone.
The officer attempted to stop the motorcycle, but the rider tried to elude police and passed another vehicle in a double yellow, police said.
Police said calls from the public came in immediately that helped them identify the license plate of the motorcycle.
Officers responded to the residence of Jacob Doyle, 20, of Manchester, and arrested him for disobeying a police officer, speeding, unlawful passing and line violation.
Doyle was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Hooksett district court Aug. 2.
