This little piggy went to Billys Roast Beef & Seafood before being found by police
MELROSE, Mass. — A pot-bellied pig has been reunited with her owners after being found wandering Main Street.
Officer William O'Donnell responded to the multiple reports of a pig walking around near Billy’s Roast Beef & Seafood around 8 a.m. Wednesday.
O'Donnell found the 40-pound female pig and calmed her down and eventually was able to pet her and pick her up. The pig was placed in a backyard until Animal Control Officer Coral Hope could arrive on scene. The owners, who lived close to Main Street, were found later in the day and reunited with the pig.
“This just goes to show that you never know what your next call will be,” Chief Lyle said. “Officer O’Donnell is an animal lover and he was the perfect person to respond in this situation.”
