State regulators extend Northern Pass decision deadline
CONCORD (AP) — State regulators have voted to extend the deadline for their final written decision on the Northern Pass project by six months, to March 31, 2018.
Members of the Site Evaluation Committee voted to extend their decision on the project Thursday. They also are planning to extend the time for hearings through the end of the year.
The committee had been scheduled to vote by the end of September.
In a statement, project leaders said they are disappointed, considering the review process was already extended. They said they remain confident in their ability to achieve a 2020 in-service date.
