Space center, Raytheon, partner for after-school club in Concord
CONCORD (AP) — The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is partnering with Raytheon to create an afterschool science and engineering club for middle school students.
The program will start this fall to inspire youth interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The Discovery Center also anticipates involvement from engineers and scientists from businesses and educational institutions.
The center intends to reach out to under-served populations in recruiting participants for the club.
