So far in 2017, 1 person in NH has died each day from a drug overdose
CONCORD — New data released Thursday shows that New Hampshire has seen one drug overdose death per day in 2017.
According to the report, dated on Wednesday, there have been 67 suspected overdose deaths, including 53 cases pending toxicology results.
With 67 suspected drug overdose deaths in 67 days, the average comes out to one per day.
No overall projection of overdose deaths has been released for the year of 2017.
The report also shows the most current data for drug overdose deaths in 2016.
So far 456 drug overdose deaths have been confirmed for last year, with 22 more cases pending toxicology results.
