Senate to take up right to work, full-day kindergarten
CONCORD (AP) - The state Senate is preparing to vote on right to work legislation, funding for full-day kindergarten and a reduction in two of the state's significant business taxes.
Senators will debate and vote on these bills during Thursday's session. Returning from a break week, both legislative chambers are also completing public hearings on all 900 bills submitted this session.
By Thursday, policy committees in the House and Senate must make a recommendation on whether to pass or kill each bill before them and send them to the respective chamber's floor. Some bills will then go to a second policy committee before moving to the other chamber at the end of March.
