Runners from across New England filled the streets of the Queen City
MANCHESTER — Runners from all across New England joined together for the 18th annual Eversource Walk & 5K Run for Easterseals.
Runners met at Veterans' Park in the Queen City around 4 p.m. Thursday. Before the race, participants roamed through the different vendors where they could learn how to box, hang out with firefighters, eat pizza and health drinks, or even get a massage.
The race started at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Elm Street and featured long time runners, same day participants, walking families, and returning champions.
Mark Laprade led the pack of runners and won the race with a time of 17 minutes and 22 seconds.
Not too far behind, Jaclyn Solimine led the women with a time of 18 minutes and 39 seconds.
NH1 was a proud sponsor of the event and had several runners participating. Ryan Breton set the standard for the NH1 team with an impressive time of 21 minutes and 18 seconds.
