Report: Emails reveal national Dems wanted 'fresh face' not Shea-Porter for Congress
A blog is making waves as it claims part of the leaked Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee emails said they wanted a candidate other than Carol Shea-Porter to run on the Democratic ticket for New Hampshire's First Congressional District.
Miscellany Blue - a liberal political blog run by William Tucker in Portsmouth - said that the emails said there was an effort to replace Shea-Porter with "fresh face for 2016."
The cyber attack that happened just before the Democratic National Convention revealed hundreds of stolen documents from the DCCC. The blog says the campaign arm wanted Executive Councilor Chris Pappas to run instead, and while "actively discouraging former Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter from entering the race."
