Red Sox minor league team could be on the move
PAWTUCKET, RI - The Boston Red Sox minor league affiliate, the Pawtucket Red Sox, have been sold to a group led by Red Sox minority owner, Larry Lucchino.
Lucchino is among several investors who will be paying $20 million to buy the team.
Early reports say that the team could be moving to nearby Providence, but no official announcement has been made yet.
The AAA baseball team has played at McCoy stadium in Pawtucket, R.I., since the team was founded in 1973.
