
Portsmouth Naval Shipyard cleared by officials after possible bomb threat
PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Security and Fire personnel cleared the Structural Shop, building 92, after a possible bomb threat.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service completed a detailed search of building 92 and deemed the building safe for normal operations. They found no indication of a viable threat, according to the Navy.
As a precautionary measure, personnel were evacuated from the Structural Shop and the immediate area around it.
The Shipyard has returned to normal operations. NCIS was the lead agency for this matter.
State, local and federal authorities were notified.
