Police: Woman transported to hospital after rear-ending COAST bus in NH
ROCHESTER — The Rochester Police, Fire, and EMS departments responded to Nola Avenue and Rochester Hill Road for a reported motor vehicle collision between a car and COAST bus Thursday.
The investigation concluded that Rochester resident Renee Dupius, 53, collided with a COAST bus that was stopped at a bus stop, police said. The air bag inside Dupius' car deployed and it caused her undetermined injuries.
Dupius had been traveling southbound at the time on Rochester Hill Road or Route 108. The front of her car collided and then went underneath the rear bumper of the COAST bus, police said.
Dupius was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries from the deployed air bag. Two passengers on the bus were also transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital as a precaution.
The COAST bus was able to drive away from the scene, but Dupius' car was taken away by a wrecker. During the investigation of the wreck, officials temporarily closed Rochester Hill Road.
The investigation is still underway to determine the cause of the crash. A medical condition is still a possibility at this time, police said.
