Police say woman who hit utility pole, rolled car over had been using phone while driving
ROCHESTER — Police said a woman had been using her phone while driving when she hit a utility pole causing her car to roll over before landing on its wheels.
Just after 12:30 a.m. Friday Rochester police and fire and Frisbie EMS responded to a single-car crash on Farmington Road near Country Brook Kennel.
The driver of the car was Angelina Adams, 28, of Farmington. Adams was driving west when, according to police, her car crossed the center line and went off the opposite side of the roadway. The car then hit a utility pole and rolled before landing back on its wheels.
Adams suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. The utility pole was heavily damaged.
Adams was cited for the use of a mobile device while driving.
