Police: NH man arrested on drug sale charges during search for stolen jewelry
CLAREMONT — The search of a Myrtle Street home for stolen goods Tuesday and turned up multiple illicit drugs, police said.
Police had responded to a report of stolen jewelry at 47 Myrtle Street, Apt. 3.
At the scene, police arrested Jordan Berry, 24, of Claremont, during the search. Berry was a guest of the residents.
Berry had several illegal drugs on his person which led to his arrest, police said.
Berry is charged with possession of controlled drugs for Klonopin and methamphetamine, and possession with intent to sell controlled substances, Suboxone.
Berry is being held for violating probation, and no bail was set on the new charges. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for May 25 at 1 p.m. in the Claremont district court.
The search of the home also recovered the stolen jewelry and drug paraphernalia, police said. The case is ongoing, and further arrests will be made, police said.
