Police arrest NH man following a fight outside Eclipse Bar in Manchester
MANCHESTER — Manchester police officers responded to a large fight call at Eclipse Bar Sunday morning around 1:45 a.m.
Multiple officers were at the bar trying to disperse the crowd that had gathered outside.
During the dispersal, Sgt. Richard Brown saw a man arguing with a woman, so Brown attempted to separate the two.
The woman listened to the officer and left the area, but the man continued to scream at the woman and would not leave. The man was identified as Publio Gonzalez, 32, of Manchester.
After numerous requests by Brown for Gonzalez to vacate the scene, Brown attempted to place him into custody.
Gonzalez allegedly backed away from the officer into a parked car to avoid being handcuffed. Eventually, several officers wrestled him to the ground, tasered him, and placed him under arrest.
Gonzalez was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and was released on $500 bail.
He is scheduled to appear in Manchester district court Aug. 15.
