Police: 3 men arrested in Bedford connected to stealing property from cars
BEDFORD — Two men were arrested for breaching bail conditions and another for receiving stolen property in Bedford after police pulled the car over for a yellow line violation at about 5 a.m. Thursday morning.
Officers say they recognized the three men in the vehicle from previous arrests.
Daniel O'Neil, 26, of Bedford, and Matthew Pedley, 42, of Londonderry, were placed under arrest for violating conditions of their bail after they were arrested the week before.
Upon further investigation, officers learned the third man in the car - Mark O'Neil, 24, of Bedford - allegedly had items that had been reported stolen on his person, and he was placed under arrest. Pedley was also tagged with a receiving stolen property charge.
All three will also answer to charges of illegal drug possession and prowling.
"Thefts from motor vehicles continue to be a problem in Bedford," said Bedford Police Chief John Bryfonski. "Residents should take extra caution - never leave personal belongings in your car, and always lock your vehicle in your driveway."
