Police: 16-year-old boy hit while riding bike in Rochester
ROCHESTER — A 16-year-old boy was hit by a car while riding his bike on Saturday night, police said.
The Rochester Fire Department and EMS team responded to the intersection of Walnut and Washington streets after reports that a car hit a bicyclist.
Police say that the driver of the 2001 Subaru Legacy was Daniel Debutts, 28, of Rochester.
Reports show that Debutts was traveling down North Main Street toward Walnut Street when the juvenile riding his bicycle crossed into the intersection.
The boy was thrown from his bike at the time of the crash, suffering minor non-life-threatening injuries, Rochester Fire and EMS said.
The accident is still under investigation.
