NHMS to wait another year to host proposed music festival
LOUDON — The New Hampshire Motor Speedway has announced it will postpone a music festival that was proposed for this summer.
Only a few weeks after they lost one of two major races to Las Vegas, the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) has announced that it's plans for a summer music festival have been postponed for at least another year.
According to the Concord Monitor, NHMS will attempt to put on a three-day country concert during the summer of 2018, with an estimated 60,000 ticket holders.
The festival, which was thought to be held this summer, was postponed due to legal issues, and the lack of time to book artists.
Members of the Loudon planning board have said they are willing to work with NHMS on consulting a 1989 lawsuit which banned concerts that were not associated with a race at the speedway.
