NH Veterans Home gets access area paved by newly reconstructed handicapped-accessible deck
TILTON — A Franklin paving company spent Tuesday evening paving an access area to the New Hampshire Veterans Home's newly reconstructed handicapped-accessible deck.
The work done by Porter Paving near the Home's on-site pond will allow an increase in residents' access to the area for fishing, bird watching and just enjoying the outdoors.
"The Veterans Home offers its most sincere thanks to Porter Paving for their generous contribution to the quality of life for the Home’s residents," the organization said.
The home, founded in 1980, provides long-term care services to the Granite State's elderly and disable veterans, housing about 200 currently.
