NH school district orders shelter-in-place after armed robber heads toward campus
PLAISTOW — An armed robbery on Route 125 caused the Timberlane School District to implement a shelter-in-place.
Superintendent Dr. Earl Metzler said police contacted him and told him that the suspect in an armed robbery incident at Home Depot escaped, and was headed towards their campus.
With that, Dr. Metzler sheltered everyone in place to keep them safe until police notified him otherwise.
Chief Cathy Jones cleared the school for dismissal in time for the last bell.
A letter was sent out to parents when the shelter-in-place was implemented and another when it was lifted.
