NH man injured after crashing OHRV into gatepost
TROY — A man was hospitalized after crashing an Off Highway Recreational Vehicle into a gatepost Monday.
N.H. Fish and Game said that David Strong, 40 of Troy, was operating an OHRV on a former railway that is closed to OHRV use. Officers said Strong failed to navigate a gap in a gate intended for foot and non-motorized traffic to pass through.
Strong suffered an injury to his leg and was transported to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene.
The crash is currently being investigated by the Troy Police Department and the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, and officers said Strong was operating in an area that is closed to OHRV use and not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Impairment is also being investigated as a possible contributing factor, police said.
