NH man faces 2nd-degree murder charge in 2016 parking lot shooting
MANCHESTER (AP) — A man has been charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a man in a New Hampshire parking lot last year.
Police responding to a shooting in Manchester on June 1, 2016, found 35-year-old Hans Odige dead and 25-year-old Ashley Thompson wounded in the leg. An autopsy confirmed Odige died of a single gunshot wound.
In addition to the murder charge, police have charged 31-year-old John Gebo with first-degree assault.
Police said Gebo, who is currently jailed on unrelated charges, waived indictment on the new charges and is expected to appear in court on Sept. 13 to resolve them. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer.
Gebo has been arrested several times since 2016 including in connection with other shootings in Manchester and a Londonderry burglary.
