Travel the Beautiful Connecticut River as Spring Comes to Life
This weekend hundreds of kayakers and canoers from across New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts will take to the Connecticut River for the 15th annual "Spring Paddle the Border."
The fun starts Saturday night with a free concert at The Railroad Park in Woodsville, New Hampshire. The Parker Hill Road Band is back by popular demand providing a little blue grass from 5-7 p.m.
On Sunday the 3½ hour paddle begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Woodsville Community Field off Route 135 and ends at Bedell Bridge Boat Launch.
Volunteers will be on hand at the boat launch to help unload boats and a free shuttle will be provided to take you and your boats from Bedell Bridge back to the Woodsville Field.
At the end of your paddling journey, stop by the Rotary Club barbecue for hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages. And stick around and enjoy The Strawberry Farm Band!
There will also be displays from various local organizations that will offer information about events happening in the Upper Connecticut Valley River.
95.3 and 107.1 The Wolf will also be there with tons of fun.
