Thousands Left Without Power as Strong Winds Take Down Trees, Wires
Strong winds mixed with rain and even snow in some areas overnight Thursday left thousands of New Hampshire residents without power.
As of 10:15 a.m., 2,708 residents remained without power. Eversource reported that 2,014 customers are lacking power, while The N.H. Electric Co-Op had 107 without. Unitil had 585 customers without power. Liberty Utilities had only two customers without power.
Alexandria and Barrington were the hardest hit Eversource areas, with 387 and 370 outages respectively. Warren made up most of the outages for the N.H. Electric Co-Op with 596 homes losing power.
The majority of Unitil's outages were in the Concord area.
Strong winds and cold temperatures are expected for most of the day, which could cause more outages to develop.
