Safety First, Skiing Second: NH Governor Gives Storm Tips
Gov. Chris Sununu talked all things storm safety on the "Morning Wake Up" with Nazzy and Tara on 98.3 LNH on Thursday.
New Hampshire's governor warned the public that plows and Department of Transportation trucks are out, so stay off the roads if you can.
Sununu called in from the Seacoast area and warned resident to refrain from taking pictures by the seawall in Hampton. Last storm residents flocked to beaches to take pictures with the waves, but the governor says stones are coming up and could cause physical harm.
As for those looking to head up north this weekend, this winter storm is providing plenty of powder!
Take extra caution when around waterways though, thin ice under a layer of snow could be very dangerous.
Talking generator safety, the governor wants to remind all residentsto make sure your generators are outside the house and clear of all snow.
The number of power outages is expected to triple throughout the day.
Make sure you check on your neighbors during storms like this, Sununu made sure to point out.
"If you need it, contact your local emergency providers," he said. "Emergency locations for the state are open, let us know what you need and we can be there for you."
