NH1 compiled the top New Hampshire weather stories for the year. No. 3 is making us wanting to put on more layers.
We already told you about the record highs we hit, but 2017 ended on a low. On Dec. 28, the daily coldest high temperature set a record at 5 degrees. The old record had been 14.
In a 7-day period in June that New Hampshire set a record high, it also set a record low high temperature. On June 6, it only reached 50 degrees. The previous record set in 1928 was 54 degrees.
On June 12, the state broke its record high.
That same week, Mount Washington recorded three straight days of record highs, but on Dec. 28, it hit a record low of -34 degrees. The previous daily record low of -31 degrees happened in 1933.
In the end, 2017 left us a little confused over whether we needed to cool down or warm up.
