KEENE — The Attorney General's Office along with New Hampshire State Police has released the names of the three officers involved in the non-fatal shooting of a Keene man.
The two officers who fired their weapons at Patrick Letendre, 28, on Monday were Sgt. Christopher Simonds, who has about 16 years of law enforcement experience, and Officer Mark Cotton, who has about three years of experience. Officer Matthew Bomber, who has about six years of experience, was also present at the time of the shooting but did not discharge a weapon.
The officers are currently on paid administrative leave.
Keene police responded to an apartment at 40 Wilford St. around 2 p.m. Monday to assist a woman and her child moving their belongings out of the residence. Police said Letendre, another resident of the apartment, engaged in a brief confrontation with the officers before being shot at.
