NH Man Shot to Death in 'Accidental Homicide' Near Bird Sanctuary
BRENTWOOD — Police are calling a shooting near Pine Road in town an accidental homicide.
Rescuers were called to the bird sanctuary off of Pine Road about 3:43 p.m. Saturday for a reported accidental shooting. Police who arrived at the scene assisted with CPR that was in progress on the victim.
Police say that at approximately 4:20 p.m. the person was pronounced dead.
The victim is a 51-year-old male who was a Sandown resident. Police said no further information will be released until the family has been notified.
The New Hampshire Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit, the NH Attorney Generals Office, the NH Fish and Game and the Rockingham County Attorney's Office assisted with the case.
