Dump Truck Slams Into Pickup on NH Highway, Killing Enfield Man
LEBANON — A truck unable to stop on a New Hampshire highway hit and killed the driver of another vehicle.
Police said Grafton resident Andrew Kannler, 48, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet 3500 dump truck on Route 4 when he lost control of the vehicle.
The incident happened around 5:50 a.m. Thursday in the area of mile marker 418 on Dartmouth College Highway.
After an investigation, officers identified Robert Rogers, 58, of Enfield, as the driver of a 2017 GMC Sierra pickup truck.
According to police, the Chevrolet dump truck driven by Kannler lost control and struck the front of the pickup, killing Rogers.
Route 4 in the area was closed for approximately four hours while traffic was diverted around various detours.
