80-Year-Old Man Flown to Hospital After Being Hit by Car
LACONIA — An 80-year-old man had to be flown to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center after he was hit by a car Wednesday.
Laconia police said around 4:45 p.m. they responded to the intersection of South Main Street and Union Avenue for a reported motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.
Police said an 80-year-old man using a walker was in the crosswalk when he was struck by a moving vehicle.
The man sustained head and leg injuries and was flown to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center after initially being transported to Lakes Region General Hospital.
Police said the operator of the vehicle and a passenger were uninjured in the accident.
